A Second Game

posted in Giantfall |

It pains me to learn that my Bard must be third level to learn a first level song. I think I should get an extra 4500 XP for speaking with the farmer’s daughter the way I did. At least, then I might be of some use (Bards get a Cure Light Wounds as a first level spell, at third level).

Anyway, we had another session last Saturday. It went — great. We had it at Cameron’s house. His wife was studying in the back room. I wish I had felt like she knew we didn’t bite, but she was absent for most of the game. I’d hate to be ousted for 10 hours like that. Rosco continues to write his letters though, and you might find them interesting.

I’ve been considering setting up a WIKI sort of interface for discussion about the game- you can see a great wiki on the web. Until I do that, or some other thang, just make a comment (over there, on the bottom right) to comment on the game.

You get 0 first level spells at level 2. At that point, your charisma spell bonus applies. If you have a 12 or better charisma, you get to cast 1 cure light wounds. =)

hehe thanks Erich now Russ is planning on taking over the world. hehe other than game mechanics you should see what I have been hashing out about the game. Don’t let the name of Hel and the words “bright as Snow, Dark as night” scare you at all. <evil grin>

Thanks, Erich- Unfortunately, Brookes had me read the Bard Spell section out loud; it doesn’t specify that for Bards. Rangers, yes. Paladins, yes. (other spell casters don’t get “0″ spells). Bards, no. I hope she’s just jerking my chain, but anything’s possible. :)

Trust me, there’s no reason to put that “0″ castable spells in without that particular fine point. It goes for bards as well. Frankly, taking over the world with a single castable cure light wounds just doesn’t seem feasible to me… =D

Brookes, I love to be scared. Give it all you got and more baby!!
