Why Cats Attack

posted in General |

Nobody knows.

Our eldest feline, Malkin, is just like this. We generally think that she gets over stimulated and so goes bonkers and tries to claw your arm off. But sometimes, sadly, it doesn’t take very long until you’re bleeding from four long gouges in your forearm. It’s neat to know that 20 percent of all cats are psycho. Sometimes, though, I think the percentage is much higher. About five times higher.

But 95 % of humans are psycho. Cats are sane, by comparison. Trim your cats nails, straight across. To do so, without getting your arm trashed, “hang” them. This can take two people. By hanging I mean hold them by the scruff in the air. The second person quickly trims the cat’s nails. They can’t get you then, unless they snag flesh with flailing rear feet. Wrap a towel around those feet if need be. Keep the nails trimmed and even filed and you won’t get the deep nasty scratches.
