Quick Poll

posted in General, Rantings |

My last two posts have been both wordy and political. This weblog is primarily my ‘my family’-oriented weblog. I have a separate weblog for work stuff, and two others for which I’m currently writing content (Portland Parents and Portland Scrapbooking).

I don’t see stopping posting political rants like these last two posts, and I’m concerned that they “dilute the brand,” that they mess with the family-orientation. Domain names are cheap (less than a double mocha) at Yahoo.com at the moment, and for a lightly trafficked blog, I can have it hosted for free.

Do you folks think I should move my political rants to a different blog?

Talk amongst yourselves.

Why not let us know what you think by adding your own comment! Your opinion is as valid as anyone elses, so come on... let us know what you think.

I wouldn’t create another blog page just to seperate the political rants from general family occurances. The way I see it, it’s all part of the family. You have concerns for your children, wife, self..aka the family unit, and politics does enter into those concerns. Keep it the way it is. At times, we get to “glimpse inside” the Frenzied Daddy family unit fun…and at times we get to “glimpse inseide” the political questions/issues/concerns that help make you a Frenzied Daddy(takes one to know one)!

I like it, justthe way it is…frenzied.

Keep them here. Yes, this is a family blog and you use it to update us on your family stuff (as do I) but it is also a great place to express your views. Let us know who you are and what you believe. I do the same on my blog.

I have a separate work blog as well. But family and rants and politcal rumblings…all on my main blog.

Politics affect families, the fact that so few people seem to get that idea, means to my mind you should keep them here. Our Government should be an example.. and its not. … it teaches us not to balance budgets, borrow more then we can pay back, to answer violence with violence, that being a good neighbor is secondary to other gains… the list goes on. Keep your opinons here, allow your children to grow up seeing that how the world is effects how life goes.

If domains ain’t cheap, there’s little wrong with you posting there but maybe mentioning your posts here.

I’d leave ‘em here. All politics is local, and most of it affects your family. Doesn’t bother me any to see political stuff up on your blog.

You know, if nothing else, your blog demonstrates that “family values” and “liberal values” are not separate. I would hate to see you divorce the two, as if having strong political views was incompatible with being a proud and loving father. I appreciate your political posts and hope you leave things the way they are.
