High School taught me that it was founded by Christians fleeing religious persecution in England.  And they wanted to build a country where the choices you made with regards to your faith didn't send you into jail.  College taught me that it wasn't so cut and dried, that some of our founding fathers were, indeed, atheists, but they all had a common goal; making the US the best they could.

Non Christian does not mean Atheist.

However, what really pissed me off about this quote was the "Every religion is not equal...That's logic." It's not logical. Religion isn't logical. It &lt;strong&gt;cannot be&lt;/strong&gt; logical. Religion is founded on faith. If you &lt;em&gt;knew&lt;/em&gt; that at this journey's end, you would be met at the pearly gates by a Hare Krishna, then there would be no reason for you to &lt;em&gt;believe&lt;/em&gt;.  "Belief" is what happens when you don't know for sure.</description>
