Oh my! Your daughter is very talented. I would suggest helping find a more public outlet. You never know what can happen.

I love the fact you blog. You make a wonderful example for daddies and husbands every where!

Fond aunties share no genetic material but lots of mothering genes directed at both girls. DQ of course we know better than TT from our time on Maui--best vacation ever, with best vacation-mates. I'm not surprised to see this, but I am impressed. Great work, DQ!

Nurture is probably right. Ms B and I went to Papa Murphy's yesterday and the pizza assembler laughed at us as we stood there, each with our noses in our books. And then at the bank drive through, again, the clerk smiled as we sat there, each with our books, waiting patiently for the return of the receipt.

It is beyond genetics, as I have no genetic link, but was a poet at about the same age through college years.......and a couple of compositions in the angst of the 60's. I had poems that were sent to the Scholastic magazine and published. Even won a prize and had to recite one for the 9th grade graduation.

This would be nurture rather than nature.
