I am so sorry to read this. He repaid your rescuing him by being an integral part of your family and your children's upbringing. In doing so, he reinforced why dogs are such blessings to us all.

We'll hug our rescue, Frasier, a little tighter tonight. May Perrin's memory always be a blessing, and my your home echo with the sound of another furry munchkin soon.

Thanks for your love. Honor's still hanging in there. I always expected her to go first, especially after her hip surgery and how many health problems she has. But Perrin has always had problems with his hips; that's why it was so hard for him to pull the wagon. Between his hips and my neglect of his toenails, I felt terrible when I finally took him in. He was always so damn cheerful.

Well, I don't really think they're going to meet me "at the rainbow bridge" because I believe they'll be reincarnated. But I can see how that would help other people feel better about their pets passing on.

I know exactly how you feel... I had to put my beloved Emma down in
November. I still cannot look at a picture of her. I still have another
Yorkie, Katie who is 14! She is moving slower, can't see as well or hear
and we are on top of everything with her. She is eating well and
we are loving her every day! I just pray that when it is time she will
not suffer. God Bless you and hang in there!

Aww, I bet he had a great life with you and your family and was happy right up to the end. Ten or twelve years is a long life for a dog. What better could you have done, giving him a home with food and kids and a yard and love, and then caring enough about him at the end to let him go? Nothing. *hugs*
